Here’s a bench that definitely has ‘the look’, a hardwood and pine bench in its original crackled white paint, it looks so good. The seat pulls forward to open out as a bed, we can make a lifting lid on request. The paint is stable as a flat matt varnish has sealed it. Otherwise in gallery condition and ready to go. These benches are invariably over painted many times or painted brown to imitate hardwood and then painted. It’s unusual to find one in an original white paint like this. Austria c.1870.
